Lenten Series, Soup and Salad
Join us for our Lenten Series this year: Wednesday evenings March 21 & 28. The theme of our series is “Becoming Beloved Community Where You Are”. Each evening will begin at 6:15pm with a soup and salad potluck. This will then be followed by a video and discussion, compline, and end promptly at 7:30pm. We hope to see you there!
ADD Something for Lent
Some of us, instead of giving something up for Lent, adopt an extra spiritual practice instead. This year at
St Alban’s we are offering Stations of the Cross in the prayer garden on Saturdays at 10 am continuing through Saturday, March 24. On Good Friday, Stations will be at 5:30 pm. In the event of inclement weather, we will use the stations in the church.
Welcome Church and Picnic in the park
The Welcome Church (the church without walls), and the picnic in the park takes place on the 4th Sunday of each month. Next meeting time is Sunday, March 25, from 3:00 – 4:00pm, at Wells Park. We need volunteers after coffee hour to help with food preparation and loading tables and chairs to transport to the park. If you would like more information about participating in this ministry contact Father Dave or Program Coordinator Victoria Mayor through St Alban’s office at (619) 444-8212, Tuesday through Friday between the hours of 9am-1pm.

St. Alban’s Refugee Food Pantry and other Refugee Ministry Opportunities for Volunteers
Meet interesting people from Africa, Asia, and the Middle East – volunteer to help distribute food to refugee families from around the world. Or volunteer to be a friend, assist Refugee families with appointments, questions about forms for Social Security, insurance, school or other forms that we as English-only speakers take for granted. The Joy Knight Refugee Task Force is looking for people with hearts to serve. It’s fun and fulfilling. For more information, contact Father Dave Madsen at 619-444-8212 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
